Welcome to the South Malahat 4-H!

Interested in connecting with the 4-H youth of the South Malahat 4-H District? Join the 4-H program and develop community awareness, leadership abilities and new skills. The District offers a number of animal and non-animal projects through the 10 clubs associated with the district.

4-H Celebrates Canada 150 - September 23, 2017

The Honourable Judith Guichon, Lieutenant Governor, is helping 4-H BC celebrate Canada 150 while receiving a Lifetime Honourary 4-H Membership. On September.23, 2017 4-H British Columbia is partnering with the Peninsula Country Market in Saanichton to celebrate Canada 150. This is a family friendly event with a bouncy castle, free popcorn and cotton candy, and 4-H member projects. 

The event will be held at the Saanich Fairgrounds, 1528 Stellys Cross Road, from 9:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. with Her Honour arriving at 11:00 a.m. to be presented with a Lifetime Honourary 4-H Membership. Following the presentation there will be a cake giveaway to the public. This is open to the community with free admission. Come out and support local businesses while learning more about the 4-H program and celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday!

For over 100 years, 4-H has been one of the most highly respected positive youth development organizations in Canada. 4-H has more than 24,500 members and nearly 7,700 volunteers. Our goal is to help young Canadians “Learn To Do By Doing” in a safe, inclusive and fun environment. We believe in nurturing responsible, engaged and confident leaders who are committed to positively impacting their communities across Canada and around the world.
